It's that time of year again. Sweater weather is around the corner. And with it brings the cravings for warm and hearty food. Fall reminds us of the smells of apple and pumpkin pies baking in our grandmothers' ovens. And we keep the traditions alive in our kitchen as well. Apple picking with the family is scheduled and we are looking forward to creating new apple recipes with the bushels of apples we plan on picking this year. We are currently working on adding many of our fall favourite recipes to our website. You can find our current selection here. We will be adding to that category throughout this month, so check back to see what's new. And we are also working on adding some Thanksgiving recipes since we will be celebrating here in Canada a month from now. We're also wondering what everyone's favourite fall foods are. Are you a pumpkin spice kind of person? Or do you prefer apple pies and donuts? Maybe you like the hearty and savory flavours of fall like chili and soups? Maybe you're a football fan like we are and look forward to game-day foods and tailgating? We'd love to hear from you about your favourite fall foods. Send us an email stacy@bbqandbaking.ca to let us know or leave us a comment on Facebook. Looking forward to hearing from you. Stacy and Mike BBQ and Baking |

Hey, This week's recipe is one of our favourite desserts: Canadian Whisky Brownies. These decadent, fudgy brownies use Canadian Whisky in both the brownie and the icing. (If you don't have Canadian Whisky on hand, you can use Bourbon instead. We've tried it and it is just as delicious.) Canadian Whisky Brownies We usually have to make a double batch of these brownies because they disappear so fast.
